Get involved in the board

The FAIR! association is a tax-exempt non-profit organisation that has been committed to sustainable development for over 10 years. The organisation focuses on the following topics Community, flight & migration and climate & consumption central. The association initiates its own projects, supports other organisations or raises awareness of these issues. In particular, it currently runs the Haus pour Biennethat Repair Café Biel/Biennethe project Story Teller and Biel tanzt and he is part of the initiative City Card Biel/Bienne. At Europe's external borders, it supports - within the limits of its financial resources - small non-profit organisations that are committed to helping refugees.

As a member of the association's board, you will help decide on the direction of the association, support the management in the realisation of its work and assist us with your professional and personal experience in various areas. To this end, we meet approx. 6 times a year for a 1-2 hour meeting at Haus pour Bienne/online. In addition, board members should also take on small operational departments or tasks. This depends on personal interest, expertise and need. The board works on a voluntary basis, expenses can be charged.
In total, around 90 people volunteer for the association or within the association's projects. In addition, the association currently employs a management team (40%), a co-management team (30% each) and a trainee (70%) for the Haus pour Bienne. In addition, it offers temporary work assignments in cooperation with specialist organisations in the field of work integration. It is financed by donations, membership fees and foundation contributions.

  • Communication & marketing (social media work, website, newsletter communication, campaign work, etc.)
  • Membership management (acquisition and maintenance of association members, organisation of association events, establishment of a patron base, maintenance of the database, etc.)
  • Administrative support, for example in the area of personnel administration, management of IT resources (by arrangement)

  • Willingness to volunteer at least 5 hours per month
