Tax exemption

We are tax-exempt. This means that you can deduct your donation from your taxes. For this purpose we send out a donation receipt at the beginning of the year.

Duty of care

We use your donations with care, efficiency and transparency. In our annual reports, which comply with the professional recommendations on accounting Swiss GAAP FER you can see how much money was spent on what.

Your decision to support us in particular is also a decision in favour of sustainability, for human rights and for equal opportunities.

Can I deduct my donation from my taxes?

Yes, as a tax-exempt association in the Canton of Berne, taxes are deductible.

When and how do I receive a donation receipt?

We send out the donation confirmation at the beginning of each year, which is relevant for the deduction of donations. However, you must enter an address when making the donation.

What will you use my donation for in the Community area?

Your donation makes it possible, for example, for the Haus pour Bienne free language courses, cultural events or free legal advice. For example, it enables us to offer people who are structurally disadvantaged a platform in the project Storyteller or, for example, it enables workshops in schools, collective accommodation or retirement centres with Biel Dances.

What will you use my donation for in the area of flight & migration?

With your donation, we support one of our partner organisations. For example, we enable Glocal Roots to buy and distribute nappies every month in Athens, at the Victoria Community Centre or directly support people who are in prison, for example, because their papers have expired.

What will you use my donation for in the area of climate & consumption?

With your donation, we can, for example, continue to organise the Repair Café Biel/Bienne on a regular basis and produce information material on the topics of climate and consumption to raise awareness.

What do you use a general donation for?

With a donation in the general area, you enable us to maintain the association and bear the running costs for the organisation.
